This wasn’t something we’d experienced in Junior Suites or below. Knowing there was someone dedicated to making our trip seamless before we even arrived made us feel like VIPs.

Once onboard, Shantel wasn’t just a name in an email—she was our go-to for everything. Whether it was a billing error at the spa or last-minute shore excursion changes, she handled it efficiently. While everyone else waited in line at guest services, we had direct access to her expertise, saving time and reducing stress.

Being Grand Suite guests gave us access to:

Both lounges offered snacks, beverages, and comfortable seating. However, the Suite Lounge stood out with its quieter atmosphere, fewer crowds, and panoramic ocean views.

Between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., guests enjoy complimentary drinks—alcoholic or non-alcoholic—served by attentive bartenders. This isn’t deducted from any drink packages, making it a fantastic bonus. We enjoyed meeting the newly promoted bartender, who was eager to ensure every drink was perfect.

Instead of navigating crowded dining rooms, we savored peaceful breakfasts at Chops Grille. With attentive service, stunning views, and a relaxed ambiance, it became our favorite morning ritual. The menu was similar to the main dining room, but the serene setting elevated the experience.

As Grand Suite guests, we had complimentary access to the full room service menu, including items from the main dining room. This 24/7 service allowed us to enjoy gourmet meals in our room without extra fees, making lazy mornings and late-night cravings delightful.

The Grand Suite felt enormous compared to standard cabins. The extra space meant no more awkward maneuvering around each other. It transformed our room into a true sanctuary where we could unwind comfortably.

With double sinks, a large bathtub, and ample storage, the bathroom was a standout feature. Unlike typical cruise ship bathrooms, we could both get ready simultaneously—a simple luxury that made a big difference.

Our balcony wasn’t just a place to stand—it was an extension of our suite. Equipped with cushioned loungers, a dining table, and extra seating, it became a multi-purpose haven. From morning coffee to afternoon naps, it was our go-to relaxation spot.

Balancing Perks with Cost: Is It Worth It?

We thoroughly enjoyed the Grand Suite perks, but let’s talk about the price. While the experience was unforgettable, it’s not something we plan to do regularly. We have 10 upcoming cruises, none in Grand Suites. Why? Because frequent cruising matters more to us than luxury every time.

However, this experience taught us to always check suite pricing when booking. If there’s a good deal, we’ll consider it. For special occasions or when prices align, it’s definitely worth splurging.
